I dreamt that i was in a competition with five girls, including me, and five boys where each boy had to give a girl rose to the girl he connected most with but the girls could get more than one rose. From the five boys I recognized two, a past crush and a life long crush who is my boy best friend. Of the five girls, i only recognized one who is a childhood best friend who had talked to my lifelong crush in the past. Once the competition started, my previous crush gave me his rose. Next my lifelong crush came but he gave it to my childhood best friend. I was very sad but the next round meant that they could give the rose to the same girl or a different one. Since my lifelong crush gave it to my childhood best friend i didn't want to care for him. When he entered the second round to give it to a girl, he put his hand on my shoulder but began singing to my childhood best friend because he chose her. But he continued to touch my shoulder in leg while he looked at her.
Dreams about competitions, especially those involving romantic gestures like giving roses, often reflect feelings and emotions regarding relationships, self-worth, and social dynamics. Here are some key themes from your dream and possible interpretations:
Competition and Comparison: The setup of a competition with other girls suggests that you may be feeling a sense of competition or comparison in your waking life, particularly regarding your relationships. This could symbolize feelings of inadequacy or anxiety about being chosen or valued in a romantic context.
Past and Present Crushes: The presence of your past crush and lifelong crush indicates ongoing feelings and unresolved emotions related to these individuals. Your mind may be processing these connections and how they impact your current perceptions of romance and friendship.
Friendship Dynamics: Your childhood best friend’s involvement highlights potential feelings of rivalry or jealousy, especially since she received the rose from your lifelong crush. This could reflect concerns about your friendships and the complexities they bring, especially if they overlap with romantic interests.
Emotional Response: The sadness you felt when your lifelong crush chose your friend instead of you reveals vulnerability and the desire for validation. This part of the dream might signal a fear of rejection or abandonment.
Touch and Connection: The moment when your lifelong crush touched your shoulder while singing to your friend suggests a complicated dynamic where physical closeness coexists with emotional distance. It may reflect your feelings of longing for connection and being recognized while grappling with feelings of being overlooked.
Self-Protection: Your decision to not care for him after the first round could symbolize a defense mechanism to protect your feelings. It shows an instinct to move on or regain control when faced with hurt or disappointment.
Overall, this dream may be prompting you to reflect on your feelings about love, friendship, and the ways in which you seek validation and connection. Consider how these themes resonate with your current life situation and whether there are underlying anxieties about being seen or chosen within your social circles.
